This is the secret recipe for a long lasting wooden cutting board. Made of natural beeswax and food grade mineral oil, this board butter will moisturizes the fibres of the wood to avoid the cutting board from cracking/splitting. Regular application will also protect the cutting board from mould and stains, promotes self-healing from blades marks (for end-grain cutting board), while also reviving the color of the wood. Suitable for other wooden kitchen utensils.
Usage recommendation:
A general rule of thumb is to apply once a week for the first month after you bought the cutting board, then once a month for the next few months, then 'as needed' from there. The more often you are using and washing, the more frequent you need to apply the cutting board.
How to apply:
1. Smear the board butter on the board using finger or cloth.
2. Spread on all surface of the board
3. Let it soak for 15 minutes.
4. Buff it off with the same cloth. The board is ready to be use or store without the need to wash it.
Tips. Using the same dedicated cloth and store it in a ziplock bag in between uses will help conserve the board butter.
